The Magic of Hollywood
On Tuesday, April 18, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi opens the exhibit called Lights, Camera, Magic! featuring movie posters and memorabilia from some of Hollywood’s biggest names. This unique exhibit of movie memorabilia from 1992 onward runs at the Georgian State Museum of Theatre, Music, Cinema and Choreography (Art Palace), #6 Ia Kargareteli street, until April 24. The U.S. Embassy has collected posters, scripts, sheet music, costumes, and props from these films to tell the story of how the professionals collaborate to create the magic of a Hollywood film. Many of the items are signed by actors and directors like Clint Eastwood, Spike Lee, and Danny DeVito. See Batman’s batarangs, and read a special letter from Harrison Ford to the people of Georgia.
The event is the very first in a series of events occurring in different cities of Georgia to celebrate the 25th anniversary of U.S.-Georgian diplomatic relations, which will end on April 29 with a concert of the music by Oscar-winning composer John Williams.
